How to charge during the government off-peak hours ('Regulated Charging Hours')

If you are looking to charge in a greener way, you can schedule your charging for the off-peak hours of the national grid. When enabled, the ‘Regulated Charging Hours’ setting stops Ohme from charging between 8am-11am and 4pm-10pm during weekdays to help ease pressure on the electricity grid. This is a great option for customers on a single-rate electricity tariff who want to charge in a greener way.

To enable this setting, follow these steps in your Ohme app:

  1. Check the Charging page to make sure ‘Dynamic Charging’ is turned off.
  2. Tap the Charger icon in the top right corner of the Charging page (My Charger)
  3. Scroll down and tap ‘Regulated charging hours’
  4. Tap the toggle to turn the setting ON
  5. Return to the Charging page to see this setting now appear in your app.

Please note: this settings will be ignored if a Max Charge is enabled, or the ‘Dynamic charging’ setting is turned on.
