Are Ohme chargers compatible with all EVs?
Yes. Ohme chargers are compatible with all electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids sold in the UK and Europe.
Do Tesla drivers need an adapter to use the Ohme Home Pro?
No. Tesla vehicles in the UK come with a Type 2 inlet, which is directly compatible with the Ohme Home Pro’s tethered Type 2 cable. No adapter is required.
Do Ohme chargers qualify for government grants?
Yes. Ohme chargers meet UK Smart Charge Point Regulations and are eligible for the OZEV grant when installed by an approved installer.
Can I charge my EV with solar panels using Ohme?
Yes. With Solar Boost mode and a CT clamp, Ohme chargers can make use of your home solar energy while balancing with your household supply. This means you can charge your EV using excess solar power, helping you save money and reduce your carbon footprint.
Is a CT clamp included with my Ohme installation?
For almost all installations, a CT clamp is provided as standard, and we’ll always include one wherever possible. Only in a few exceptional cases may it not be fitted, and your installer will let you know if that’s the case.
