Kia UK has announced Ohme as its preferred EV charging partner across its PBV Centres for commercial vehicles.
The partnership will see Ohme work in conjunction with Radius to provide Kia’s retailers with a one-stop solution for both home and depot charging.
Ohme is the largest home EV charging company in the UK and Ireland and the fastest growing EV charging company in Europe.
Paul Philpott, President and CEO of Kia UK, commented: “Providing our PBV customers with an inclusive mobility service for their businesses is a crucial part of our strategy, and convenient charging goes hand-in-hand with our fully electric range of commercial vehicles. Our partnership with Ohme and Radius is a natural pairing, which offers the best charging solutions for a variety of customer needs. With this partnership in place, our PBV dealer partners can now offer an end-to-end commercial vehicle solution, backed with award winning product, renowned service and seamless usability.”
Ohme’s chargers use live data from the grid and are compatible with the UK’s most affordable energy tariffs. Ohme chargers can automatically adjust to optimise the cost of charging accessing all the times of the smartest, greenest and lowest cost energy tariffs.
“We’re excited to be working with Kia’s retailers and supporting their customer, to help make the EV transition easier and bring the Ohme benefits of easy charging and low running costs,” said Peter McDonald from Ohme. “Whether it’s retail customers with the PV5 passenger model or fleet customers with the Cargo versions, Ohme is committed to ensuring that no driver or fleet is left behind with the e-mobility transition.”
Fully-charging a new Kia PV5 Cargo with a 71.2kWh battery using an Ohme charger on a dynamic EV tariff such as Intelligent Octopus Go, could cost just £5.70 for its 258 mile WLTP range.
Ohme also offers drivers the option to charge their PBV when renewable energy generation on the national grid is at its highest, further lowering their CO2 impact. This accurate CO2 saving data, only available with Ohme’s chargers, can also help fleet managers with more accurate CO2 reporting with the new Sustainability Disclosure Requirements in place since the start of 2026.
Ohme is also the official charger provider for Motability Operations, the largest fleet operator in the UK and has won two awards from Business Motoring for Best Electric Charging Point Provider and Best Electric Van Charging Point Provider.
