Awaze, Europe’s largest holiday rental group, has chosen Ohme as its official home EV charging partner.
A holiday home with an EV charger not only enables EV drivers to access cheaper rates of electricity compared to public charging, but also results in higher residency levels and more revenue. According to Awaze, in 2025, those holiday homes offering access to an EV charger enjoyed 16% more bookings and 39% greater revenue than those without.
The new partnership will see Awaze homeowners receive a complimentary Ohme charger when they agree to a new contract benefitting both the owner and the tenant. Ohme is the UK’s largest home EV charging company and the fastest growing in Europe.
“This partnership with Ohme is a fantastic opportunity to add even greater appeal to our owners’ properties while giving more value and convenience to guests choosing an EV-friendly holiday,” said Matthew Price, Awaze CEO. “Awaze offers more than 20,000 properties to holiday-goers in the UK via our Cottages.com and Hoseasons brands and collaborating with Ohme will be beneficial to both owners and add to the experience of any EV drivers staying.”
“Charging an EV at a home will always be the most affordable place for drivers to charge their vehicles,” said Peter McDonald from Ohme. “This new collaboration between Ohme and Awaze means more EV drivers will be able to access cheaper charging when on holiday and avoid relying on public charging which is often more expensive.
“As the findings by Awaze show, those homes with EV charger access enjoy more bookings and more revenue meaning there are benefits for both drivers and owners too. As EV ownership grows, future requests for EV charging are only going to go up.”
EV new car sales in the UK have already risen by 24.3% compared to 2025, while Awaze has seen the number of its properties offering EV chargepoints more than double since 2022. Awaze is the parent company for popular UK brands such as Cottages.com and Hoseasons as well as many others across Europe.
