How to reset the connection with your car app account

Retrieving the car’s battery status from your car’s manufacturer lets us display this information in the Ohme app to make charging your car easy.  This advanced smart charging feature makes it quick and simple when deciding how much you’d like to top up your battery. If you encounter any issues with Ohme retrieving the battery status from your car, follow the steps below to check and, if need be, reset the link to your car.

If you have a Tesla you can find specific steps here. Alternatively, you can also smart charge your car without retrieving the battery status by following the steps in our guide: Setting an amount to add charge to your car.

Step 2:

Check if you see “Updated now” or otherwise a time within the past few minutes at the top of the page. If so, then your Ohme app is connected to your car app account correctly.

To try a manual update, tap the battery status or curved arrow displayed in the round badge on the right side of the page. If you don’t see a very recent update time at the top, and / or the battery status in the round badge is not shown, or shows a significantly different % number than in your car app or car directly, then please follow the steps below to reset the link.

Step 6

You’ll return to the ‘Manage my EV’ page and should see the current battery level inside your car.

Note: Ohme may not display the exact amount of charge at all times, as it will do in your car or car app. This is because Ohme can only retrieve the battery status at certain intervals throughout the session.

If you would like to manually refresh the battery status you can do so by tapping on the battery status circle on the right side of the ‘Manage my EV’ page.
