How do I update my Ohme account settings?

Need to update your Ohme account settings? It’s simple. Head over to the Settings page in your Ohme app. There, you can change or reset your password, update the charger the account is linked to, and delete your account if necessary.

If you’ve integrated with a smart tariff, such as Octopus Energy’s Intelligent Octopus Go or OVO Energy’s Anytime, it’s essential to disconnect from this tariff before continuing with the account deletion so that you can re-integrate the tariff with your new Ohme account. To disconnect, refer to your energy supplier’s app or contact their support team directly.

How to change or reset my password in the Ohme app

If you need to reset your password to your Ohme account, you can do so via the Ohme app on the Settings screen.

If you need to change or update your password you can do so on the Settings page by tapping the ‘Change Password’ button.

Reset password

If you’ve forgotten your password, you can request a password reset email. This option is only available for accounts created with email.

Step 1

Enter the email address for your Ohme account and tap ‘Trouble signing in?’ on the Sign in page.

Step 2

Ensure the email address has been entered correctly and matches the email address associated with your Ohme app account, then tap Send.

Step 3

Ohme will send an email with a link to reset your password. If you don’t receive the email within a few minutes, you may need to check your spam or junk mailbox.

Step 4

Create a new password and tap Save. Take a moment to write down your new password for safekeeping.

Once you can see the password has been changed, return to the Ohme app and try to log in again.

How to change the charger your Ohme account is linked to

If you have recently had your charger replaced, or need to change the charger the account is linked to, you can do this in the Ohme app on the My Charger page under Settings.

Step 1

On the My Charger page, tap the Advanced Settings button.

Here, you will find the Device ID of the charger your Ohme account is currently linked to.

Tap “Change charger” to link your Ohme account to a different device.

You will then be directed to scan the QR code of the new charger (located on the white sticker underneath the unit), or you can enter the Device ID manually.

Once completed, you will return to the Charging screen.

Please note: If you are on the OVO Anytime Tariff, and your charger is replaced, you will need to contact OVO directly by emailing [email protected] for assistance reintegrating the tariff with the new charger. This ensures any charging data from your new device is received by OVO for crediting purposes.

How to delete my Ohme app account

Deleting an account can be a quick way to share access with others using a new Ohme account login, as it will automatically delink your charger ready to be paired with a new Ohme account. Please note, however, that deleting your Ohme account will mean you lose access to your charge history.

Step 1

Tap the Settings page and scroll to the bottom to locate the ‘Delete account’ button.

Step 2

Tap ‘Delete account’ and confirm you wish to delete the account by tapping ‘Delete’.

Note: this will automatically unlink your account from the charger and log you out of the Ohme app.

Step 3

Once your account has been deleted, you’ll return to the login page.

You can then create a new Ohme account to pair with the charger should you wish.
