EV charging subscription bundle for Ohme and Jersey Electricity

New monthly EV charging subscription bundle for Ohme and Jersey Electricity

May 2022

In an innovative move in the electric car charging market, Jersey Electricity has chosen to partner with Ohme, the multi-award winning smart charger provider, for its unique new monthly charging subscription.

Called Easycharge, Jersey Electricity will offer EV drivers a bundled subscription that will give hassle-free home charging plus an Ohme Home Pro charger from just £30 a month. The subscription packages offer customers an Ohme Home Pro smart charger with a lifetime warranty, access to the class-leading Ohme smart charging app, full installation, ongoing customer support and inclusive overnight charging.

The three tariffs on offer with Easycharge will provide an all-inclusive package for customer peace-of-mind lasting for three years. The entry Easycharge tariff starts at £30 per month for 1500kWh (est.6000mls), rising to Easycharge Plus at £45 per month for 3000kWh (12,000mls) and then to the Easycharge Unlimited tariff at £85 per month.

“We are delighted to be linking with Ohme for this innovative customer offering for electric vehicle drivers,” said Peter Cadlou from Jersey Electricity. “Easycharge is a unique opportunity for drivers to package all of their EV charging costs and make them more manageable over the course of three years.”

David Watson, CEO at Ohme, said: “Ohme has a background of innovation in the EV charging industry and we welcome this opportunity to partner with Jersey Electricity on this exciting new subscription tariff. These packages are an ideal way to make EV ownership as affordable as possible for Jersey drivers and are the perfect complement to our Home Pro smart charger.”

Ohme’s Home Pro smart charger can connect with the national grid in real time and automatically adjust its charging for drivers to take advantage of all the times of low price charging with smart electricity tariffs. Furthermore, Ohme is alone in offering drivers the option to charge their EV when renewable energy generation on the grid is at its highest, further lowering their CO2 impact.

Ohme is the official charger provider for Motability Operations and has just been named as the Best Electric Charging Point Provider by Business Motoring and also awarded for its Innovation in Electric Vehicles by Fleet World. Both of those follow Auto Express magazine’s 2022 Driver Power survey where readers voted Ohme as number one for customer service.
