We are looking for a technical and commercially minded Pre-Sales Engineer to join our European team in the Benelux region. You will cover all technical aspects of the Benelux market, from pre-sales qualification and solution design to resolving complex after-sales cases. You'll pair technical depth with commercial acumen, analysing market and competitor activity, interpreting data and turning customer requirements into workable propositions, alongside managing technical support for products and installations. You'll support partners through onboarding, training and installation, monitor installer performance and back the sales team on bids, demos and proposals.
This role is available in two markets: Belgium and the Netherlands. You will be based in either our Brussels or our Zwolle office, working from the office three days a week.
Responsibilities
Technical Support
- Resolve installation partners' technical requests and issues efficiently.
- Diagnose product/installation problems and work with engineering to fix recurring issues and improve reliability.
- Create support materials (help centre articles, etc.) to reduce inbound queries.
- Support sales with technical input during customer/partner presentations and training.
Commercial & Business Analysis
- Knowledge of the EV charging and CPO market in Belgium and the Netherlands.
- Help build product market requirements.
- Support sales on qualification, solution design, and tender/RFP/RFI responses.
- Run product demos, PoCs, and technical workshops for prospects and partners.
- Analyse market and usage data to size opportunities and build business cases.
- Track competitor offerings and produce comparison materials for sales.
- Capture customer/partner requirements and relay them to product and engineering.
- Build relationships across customers, partners, energy providers, and internal teams as the technical voice in commercial discussions.
- Provide technical validation and cost input for pricing and proposals.
Facilities Management & Partners
- Review pre-installation surveys and assess job complexity.
- Assign customers to installation partners by coverage and capacity.
- Verify installer quotes and issue customer invoices.
- Track partner SLA performance, run quarterly reviews, and flag SLA breaches during installation.
Language Requirements
- Fluency in Dutch and French, plus professional English. Additional languages are a plus.
Who You Are
- Strong communicator, internally and externally, with a customer-first mindset.
- Familiar with the EV charging industry.
- Organised, proactive, and data-driven, with strong problem-solving instincts.
- Commercially and technically fluent, confident presenting to senior stakeholders.
- Able to position our offering credibly against competitors.
Required Experience
- 2+ years in an EV or energy technical role, handling technical queries/products and support KPIs.
- Multilingual written/spoken support experience.
- Background in pre-sales, solutions engineering, or technical account management.
- Experience with technical proposals, tender responses, or demos.
- Skilled at turning data into commercial recommendations.
