We are looking for a motivated and driven Junior Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing team in Porto, Portugal. Reporting to the Head of Sales - Portugal, this is a 6-month fixed-term contract with the possibility to extend or convert to a permanent role, depending on performance and business needs.

This is a fantastic entry point into the world of EV and clean energy sales. You will support the Portugal sales team by qualifying inbound leads, carrying out prospecting activities, and helping to grow our footprint in the Portuguese market. You will work from our Porto office 3 days a week.

Responsibilities

Lead Generation and Prospecting

  • Conduct outbound cold calls to prospective clients to generate leads and opportunities.
  • Research and identify potential clients and key decision makers within target markets.
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads and set appointments for senior sales team members.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM system.

Sales Support

  • Support the Portugal sales team in day-to-day commercial activities and follow-ups.
  • Assist in coordinating proposals, documentation, and ongoing client communications.
  • Provide exceptional customer support to prospects and existing clients, addressing enquiries promptly.
  • Collaborate with the wider Sales and Marketing teams to develop effective outreach strategies.

Who You Are

  • Self-Starter: Comfortable with cold calling and generating new leads. Willing to test new approaches and respond to feedback quickly.
  • Customer-Focused: Confident handling both inbound and outbound sales interactions with a consultative approach.
  • Outgoing and Personable: Enjoy initiating conversations, being authentic, and building long-term relationships.
  • Clear Communicator: Able to explain technical solutions in simple terms for a variety of audiences.
  • Bilingual: Fluent in both Portuguese and English. Fluency in other languages such as Spanish is a plus.
  • Location: This role is based in Porto, with some travel to our Barcelona and London offices.

Required Experience

  • Previous experience in a sales, customer service, or business development role is advantageous.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within the EV or clean energy sector.
  • Familiarity with tools like Slack, Jira, and Odoo is a plus. Strong CRM discipline and attention to communication consistency.
  • Passion for clean technology, EV infrastructure, or the energy transition.
  • Native-level fluency in Portuguese and professional fluency in English.
