Ohme has been selling its chargers to consumers since mid 2019 and has had exponential growth since. We are now operating in multiple countries and have partnerships with the likes of VW, Mercedes, Octopus Energy, and other innovative brands.

We're looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager who's motivated by hunting new business and growing with us. Someone ready to take ownership of our national wholesale channel and drive it to the next level. 

Role and Responsibilities:

First 3 Months:

  • Quickly understand market and customer drivers versus our competitors and win over key strategic partners.
  • Identify weaknesses in competitors' service offerings and maximize the Ohme propositions to potential customers.
  • Be gritty and determined to understand where home chargers are being sold in the market and hunt opportunities to close the gap on market leaders.
  • Fail fast, communicate learnings and mistakes, and be prepared to solutionise how to win based on learnings.
  • Develop & implement sales strategies to maximize potential in market segments across Wholesale, Reseller & Installer Channels.
  • Exploit all opportunities for market development within Ohme’s Wholesale, Reseller & Mobility channels by collaborating and developing Ohme Australia’s value proposition with the Head of New Business Development and broader Sales teams.
  • Develop account/territory plans and action plans to achieve targets.
  • Harvest customer leads for sales channel

3-6 Months:

  • Hunt for Service Contract opportunities to increase contract revenues while maintaining margin objectives.
  • Drive sales activity to exceed business objectives, sales growth, and profitability targets.
  • Identify and attack sales opportunities, produce offerings and initiate activity to sell Ohme products, and ensure follow-ups for such activities.
  • Identify, evaluate, and acquire new business from clients with existing installed Ohme devices.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with existing customers and provide feedback on customer service issues and opportunities.
  • Assist and participate in product demonstrations, industry training, or webinar seminars.

6 Months+:

  • Provide written agreements and quotations to clients and prospects for services.
  • Effectively handle service sales-related customer issues while maintaining customer confidence.
  • Work with the local “Heads of” to drive growth strategies and market expansion.
  • Assess requirements and advise clients on the range of technical Ohme solutions (Hardware, Fleet, Flex, etc.) and provide commercial proposals related to the company’s services.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with existing customers and provide feedback on customer service issues.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • We are open to two distinct profiles for this role: an experienced, senior operator who brings an existing book of relationships in Electrical Trade, Building and/or Solar, or a high-character hunter with the right drive and relationship-building instinct.
  • Established relationships in Electrical Trade, Building and/or Solar are advantageous, but it is character that will stand out most.
