The UK has 7 DNOs managing different regions. You can find your DNO by clicking the link below and entering your postcode: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.energynetworks.org\/customers\/find-my-network-operator\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Who\u2019s my network operator? \u2013 Energy Networks Association (ENA)<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">DNOs handle the installation and maintenance of your property\u2019s incoming power supply and the main fuse head (this protects the electrical supply into a property). Once you have completed your \u2018Home Survey\u2019, we might ask you to contact your DNO if we identify that you need a fuse upgrade or have a looped supply.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group modules-layout\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"Why-might-you-need-a-fuse-upgrade\"><strong>Why might you need a fuse upgrade?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">A fuse upgrade might be necessary if your current fuse cannot support the additional load from the new charger. This typically occurs with older properties. The DNO will evaluate your existing setup and, if needed, upgrade the fuse to ensure safe and efficient operation of your new charger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"What-is-a-looped-supply\"><strong>What is a looped supply?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">In terraced or semi-detached houses, two or more properties often share the same electricity service cable. If your house has a looped supply, our installation partner will notify your DNO. This shared setup can lead to not having enough power for a home charger, which could cause safety issues and power disruptions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To make sure your home charger works safely and efficiently, the Distribution Network Operator (DNO) needs to check and possibly upgrade your supply. This ensures your charger gets the power it needs without overloading the shared cable.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group modules-layout\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Why might you need to contact my DNO directly?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each DNO follows a slightly different process. Even when your installer submits the application, the DNO may need you, as the account holder or property owner, to complete an action before they can proceed. This could include authorising the proposed installation, accepting a \u00a30 quotation for unlooping or fuse-upgrade work, providing further information, or arranging an appointment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please check all correspondence from your DNO carefully and respond to any outstanding requests.
