How does it work?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Ohme app widget provides a unique way to see snapshots of key information about the status of your charger and charge session, right on your home screen, so you can check in at a glance without opening the app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What you\u2019ll see<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

    \u2022    Your charger\u2019s last known status, such as Unplugged<\/strong>, Pending approval<\/strong>, Charger offline<\/strong>, or Smart charging<\/strong>.
    \u2022    Your active charge session, so you can keep track of progress.
    \u2022    A timestamp, showing when the information was last updated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How updates work<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The widget will update instantly whenever you open the Ohme app or plug in your car to start a charge. The widget will also refresh periodically throughout the day and overnight. The update rate is determined by your phone\u2019s battery settings. If background activity is limited or turned off, updates may be less frequent.<\/p>\n\n\n

Adding the widget on Android<\/h3>\n

    On your Home Screen, touch and hold an empty area.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Tap Widgets<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  3. \n

    Type Ohme<\/strong> into the search bar.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  4. \n

    Tap Ohme from the list. Tap the Ohme widget and tap Add<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  5. \n

    Drag to where you want it on your Home Screen.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n

    Troubleshooting updates<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

    Most Android devices manage background activity automatically. If the Ohme widget isn\u2019t updating it may be that background refresh has been turned off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Open the Settings<\/strong> app.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Go to Apps<\/strong> > App battery usage<\/strong> > Ohme<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Make sure Allow<\/strong> background usage<\/strong> is turned on.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Enabling these options ensures your widget keeps updating, even when the Ohme app hasn\u2019t been used recently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Approve plug-in<\/h3>\n

      When Approve Plug in<\/span> is on, you need to confirm each charging session in the Ohme app before it can start. This helps stop anyone you don\u2019t trust from using your charger.<\/p>\n

      If a car is plugged in and waiting for approval, the Ohme widget will show an alert so you know action is needed. You\u2019ll also get a push notification, as long as notifications are enabled in the Ohme app settings.<\/p>\n
