The installation must be compliant with any national and\/or local Regulations primarily AS\/NZS 3000 Electrical installations (known as the Australian\/New Zealand Wiring Rules). Installation should be carried out by a competent electrician with appropriate knowledge of EV charge point installations.<\/p>\n\n\n

Step 1<\/h3>\n

<\/h4>\n

The Ohme Home Pro is designed to be wall mounted to a flat surface. Fixings are included which are suitable for most wall surfaces (e.g. brick\/render) but the installer should select their own fixings if these are not appropriate.<\/p>\n

Attach the back plate to the wall using the four fixings supplied.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Step 2<\/h3>\n

Mount the unit, carefully guiding the three lugs into the rear of the unit.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Step 3<\/h3>\n

Use the supplied three M4 short machine screws to fix the unit to the back plate.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Step 4<\/h3>\n

<\/h4>\n

The Ohme Home Pro is supplied with a one metre fixed input cable\/flying lead requiring termination on-site to a suitable junction box, or AC isolator switch. The flying lead conductors are 6mm2 copper, the overall diameter is 15.2mm, suitable for a No. 6 cable cleat.<\/p>\n

Note: The junction box or AC isolator switch needs to be rated to at least 32A, have sufficient IP rating for the location.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Step 5<\/h3>\n

<\/h4>\n

The Ohme Home Pro has a dynamic load-balancing feature. A current sensor (CT) clamp is provided to measure the electrical demand of the property, or sub-board. The unit will limit the maximum current available to the vehicle to keep the household demand below the set threshold\/fuse value.<\/p>\n

Where load balancing is activated, if the CT clamp is removed, installed in the wrong location or is faulty, the unit will revert to charge at a maximum of 16A. It is therefore sensible to ensure the spare capacity, after taking account of other loads and diversity, is at least 16A.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Step 6<\/h3>\n

<\/h4>\n

The charger comes complete with a cable holder and charging gun holster to retain the cable and vehicle connector when not connected to the vehicle. Use a further four fixings to mount these to the wall.<\/p>\n

Once the charger is installed and connected to power it will turn on and be ready for commissioning.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Storage while not in use<\/h3>\n

<\/h4>\n

When the charger is unplugged from the vehicle it must be stowed away correctly.<\/p>\n

Wrap the cable around the cable holder.<\/p>\n

The charger plug must be pushed into the holster, you will hear a click when it is locked in place. This protects the charging pins from the elements. Push the button on the top of the holster to release the charging plug.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
